Hi guys, Im on Windows 7 64 bit and I'm having a small problem. This is my current score on Windows Experience Index. Processor [Q9550@3.4ghz, 1600Fsb] : 7.4, Ram [Ocz 1000mhz 4 gigs, Epp enabled]: 7.4, Graphics [285GTX. Overclocks, G-675, M-1350, S-1537] : 6.6, Gaming Graphics : 6.6, Primary Hard Disks [WD Caviar Black 500gb]: 5.9. Why is the primary hard disks score low? Shouldn't it be around 7-7.5? Have i done something wrong? Do the rest of the above scores look normal? Suggestions please. Thanks, Virendra.
5.9 is ok for HDD. But your gaming graphics score seems low ! I have 7.0 gaming graphics with 9800GTX+ ( rest is the same as yours ) Also I tested with CPU @ 2.83 ( stock ). But I'm running it @ 3.6. So, could be even higher now.
my 260 is good for 7.2 and my 295 7.7. your gpu score is low also my HD score is the same as yours on 2 rigs
You won't get much above 5.9 unless you're using an SSD - my WD Velociraptor only scored 6.0 and that's one of the faster sata drives. My Crucial SSD gets a 7.3
That gaming score like has been said is oddly low (my Geforce 8600M GT gets 5.9 on my lappy). In the end though I wouldn't worry, like has also been said the experience index is crap!
yeah.. a total useless thing.. can't really it worth to compare.. my friends' PC, although much low end than me get higher score than me.. maybe, there is a hole in this program or something..
dont like it much Shows my ram as 5.5, although its dominator 2000 mem etc etc. All else seems about right though. 7.0 for ssd etc.
WEI is a load of MS bull****...pay no attention to it. Btw the score for all HDD's is capped at 5.9. (at least on the pre RTM builds anyway).
cpu 7.7 (is that low for a 4.4ghz i7 with ht??) mem 7.9 gpu 7.5 (for both) hd 6.2(3 raptors in raid0 for now had four but ones bein ghey so rma)
Try troubleshooting your system. Let us know what you find. That's the way having a helping hand works. We learn, then we share. Edit: Reinstall your operating system. Let us know how it goes.
I'm in my office now, i will troubleshoot it when i reach home. Why do you think i should reinstall my operating system? Whats the reason behind it? Is the reinstall going to help me in increasing my gpu score?
The HDD score is normal, I get the same score (5.9). Don't expect to get any higher than 6 unless you have an SSD. The graphics scores are too low, my 4890 gets 7.6 for both. Maybe a driver issue of some sort. Personally, I wouldn't bother about the WEI scores as long as your PC works and performs as it should.
