Would be cool if they provided a list (with reasons for blocking).

It would be even cooler, if they wouldnt just automagically install and enable this "feature", but make it possible for the user to install and/or enable it with informed consent. I mean, they could jsut as well add a systemwide adblocker than...
These whole TPM for W11, automagic program blockers, defaulting to edge again etc. makes it really easy to say goodbye ms, hello linux for everything. Especially nowadays when due to Steam/SteamOS so many games run on linux either natively or with great emulation. Which should get even better once the steam deck is released later this year.

What the antispyware says about the windows telemetry? does it do a bit of self criticism at least? Or about the unwanted tons of stuff you find on a new windows install?

The one change I just noticed today was the settings page now having a new bar at the top telling me I was singed in as a local account and that it recommended me to sign in for "rewards"... whatever that means.. and that it now shows how long ago windows checked for updates, and then a "Restore recommended" for the web browser which I'm assuming is Microsoft's attempt at making more people use Edge.

Um, if it's been there since 2020 it's not a new feature. What am I missing?

But it doesn't block all the spyware and bloatware that comes with Windows...

I feel like this will block or remove my cheat engine.

It's not like the windows tech gurus can't just peek into every crack and crevice of windows anyways, if i own windows i own the right to tweak and twist it whichever way the whim goes.

Back in the day, you were worried about the things your OS did not do to protect you.
These days, you are worried how you can prevent your OS from cutting off your favourite apps because it does things on it's own, without your intention.

If you cheat in multiplayer games, I hope your car flips over. Every night me and my console buddies are forced to play Warzone with the PC Cheater Brigade and it's not fun.

Oh. So this is why Windows Defender starting quarantining Tixati a few months ago, and saying it was a PUP. Yeah, a really useful new feature.

Lol cheat engine will never work in multiplayer games. It's mainly used for singleplayer games.

What about custom made software? I mean, small business have their own software with the standard .msi installer, they have to get some certificate of some security acceptance to run their software or how?
Or have the WSDL deploy the software and the administrative management has to deal with this ?

I think you will be ok,
They would have to authorise the software they allow to run on their platform, no company would ever do that sort of thing.
And then they would probably need some kind of unique key to identify your pc and whether it had ever had any 'undesirable' stuff on there. No worries here either for you, like that would ever happen.
