did they remove the deskop ciew mode in windows 8?
whos buying it?
I dont think Windows has a "deskop ciew" so you're probably ok.
well i reinstalled win7 again. injectors didnt work , and d3doverrider didnt for some games. all is fine now again.
I went back to windows 7, until soundblaster has better working drivers.
is also seems cmss-3d doesnt work right. I can disable and enable it and hear no difference, seems to be stuck running. and I dont like it running. messes up stereo sounds.
I do have images of both windows 7 and windows 8, so when updated drivers come out, I can boot up 8.
Something for those who hate the metro, still in beta but they added some nice features like boot to desktop
Probably eliminates 99% of W8 complaints too, lol.
*Boot directly to the Windows 8 desktop
*One click access to shut down, devices, music, documents, and videos
*Optionally disable the desktop Windows 8 "hot spots"
*Windows 7-style Start menu with Windows 8 enhancements
^^^ but its not free anymore. now only 30 day trial $4.99 after that unless you own object desktop, which I now own, so I dont have to pay for each upgrade of there software:bang:
:3eyes: .......dude, its $5 bucks. I mean seriously, that's like nothing. I see people spend that much for Coffee and donuts first thing in the morning. Actually i lost more than that on 2 lottery tickets i bought last night.
But regardless, for those who really dislike W8's new UI, apps like these are a godsend.
Furthermore there is also ClassicShell, which won't cost you a dime. I don't know if it will provide the option to boot to desktop..etc, but it will at least give you the start menu back
Say it with me! DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS!
Open Metro Start Screen within Desktop Mode in Windows 8 with Start Menu Modifier
^^ Epicness ^^
Not really, hoovering metro on desktop? No thanks..
I rather have full metro view then, this looks even more annoying and ugly too
yeah, looks kinda weird.
Using Metro Start normally is so much better, that looks a bit to intrusive, and clutters the desktop.
i have a trial version of start8 thats free if ya want to try? allows classic start button+menu and booting straight to desktop environment
Just a personal opinion on Windows 8:
Well, honestly would like to be positive for new Windows version, but heck with Windows 8 I feel sorry for people who upgrades it or has to buy it with
laptops/desktops and seriously feel for people who are forced for Windows 2012 servers. I mean this system is absolutely unusable after week of testing. Had to
be most horrible system I've ever seen heck WinME was the ultimate OS compared to this one, heh. Sure it works on tablets, phones, xbox(lol), but PC?
and we seriously are now looking for 3rd party solutions to undo what MS has build like Start8 plus tons of reg hacks to even make Win8 remotely look like
OS. Don't get me wrong I am open minded for new systems, but this system is just plain damn bad.
I completely disagree with pretty much everything you said. There is nothing "bad" about Win8. It works and it works well. Extremely stable, as fast or faster than Win7, many nice enhancements, etc. Now if you just don't like the "new" interface I can understand that argument. But to say that it is as bad as WinME is just showing ignorance. I'll be upgrading to Win8 as soon as it's available and to be honest, I'll be feeling "sorry" for those that don't upgrade. But that's just me. To each their own.
They released a big update (163Mb).
Can someone check if the driver is not signed, Windows allows to install it, after Update was applied?
What a POS, It's not released and we almost have a Service pack :funny:
Sounds very nice, will need to grab this and test tomorrow, great to see them improving things right up until release, rather than waiting until afterwards.
After watching my Win7 install completely crumble over the last 24hrs....I have an even deeper appreciation for Win8... No viruses on either drive....no malware....Win7 just suddenly started corrupting system files to the point where drivers were dropping left and right.... Definitely won't be booting into Win7 after Oct 26.....
The one thing that I still haven't gotten with Windows 8 is, why did Microsoft move the start button onto the charms menu? It honestly doesn't make sense to me, at least not yet anyways.
