well ive been at this for about an hour now I can get the latest driver in using device manager but as for ccc it does not matter what I do I just cant get it to run ive enabled netframework 3.5 and almost had it running on the 11.5 hotfix driver but was missing a lot of features so ive uninstalled them and tried to start from scratch now im getting nowhere, u would think being as its a consumer preview that they would somehow allow ccc to run but I guess not, ontop of this my mouse pointer keeps locking up everytime I go into any corner of the screen its driving me batty.

That sucks, may have to hold off on installing Windows 8. CCC/MSI AB is a dealbreaker for me.

    Explain

As for gaming performance it is apparently roughly the same, sometimes better sometimes worse from youtube vids and early tests done on the DP

I will be building a new machine in the next couple of days. While I wait for my SSD to arrive, I think I will experiment with this as a clean install on a regular hard drive. You can also download the ISO from a link at the cite I posted. I am wondering what driver files Windows 8 will install after a clean install? I will keep everyone posted.

Latest win7 drivers installed on win8 but options were missing such as 3d settings. RC win8 drivers working like a champ though. I was surprised amd had win8 drivers posted.

Not to derail thread but why the fascination with Win 8? Win 7 isn't old at all and I'm not into the IPad look on my PC.
Guess I'm strange or likely certain. :)

    Maybe the cutting edge thing?

Everyone just wants to be hip these days. Though a lot of these same people running Win8 now probably would not have touched any of the early Longhorn betas a few years ago with a 10 foot pole. But because Win8 Customer Preview is an official release from MS and all the blogs are talking about it, everyone now wants to try it. It's also kind of funny that many people will not touch a beta ATI driver but are willing to use a beta OPERATING SYSTEM. It's good for MS though because I guess progress finally is being made in the beta testing department, but myself personally, even though I run beta of nearly everything on my computer (including drivers) I've always refused to run beta MS operating systems -- mainly because I hate re-formatting and re-installing, which will need to be done of course when the final Win8 release is out.
