    But...

Windows 8 is the greatest thing in the history of human civilization...

    How can this possibly be???

Oh wait, Windows 8 is crap, I forgot about that part.

    Never mind.

Give me a break you think M$ cares about a minority benchmarkers ?How does that make 8 crap?It was designed to work on many devices and HWBot was the least of their worries.

Windows 8 is fine, better than 7 when it comes to movies and games and since that is all i use my PC for i have no reason to complain.

While they might, i doubt MS will care about this and it will be up to the guys at hwbot to fix this, maybe even Intel since it doesn't happen with AMD cpu's

I do, i went back to 7 due to issues with gaming and movies.

SVP didnt work for me properly in win8. some formats wouldt be detected no more somehow.

for gaming 3rd party plugins like sweetfx, xinput gave me problems with games.

If you dont run that kind of programs you should be fine, but it sure was a dealbreaker for me as the OS itself didnt bother me at all.

Where did you read that ? i cant find it.

imo its up to MS to fix this (either that or every benchmark out there) , hwbot just collects benchmark results nothing more.

    -edit-
sorry , wasnt quite awake yet it says right in the article lol

Ah right then WhiteLighting, I’ve never been a fan of SVP and don’t have the time for SweetFX, as long as Mediaportal and Steam/Origin works for me then I’m happy and so far those three things have been better than ever, while the Netflix W8 app is essential now that I no longer have either of my consoles.

As for the Intel only thing, as per above.

for some reason, BL2 performance on 8 is way worse than 7, been like that since day1. and recently PPSSPP work a little bit slower on 8 than 7, though i might be wrong about it. still steady 60fps on tekken 6 via ppsspp :D

So this RTC clock has any affects on these parameters?

    -use platformclock
    -use platformtick
    -disable dynamictic yes

I had it set like on this pic, but now i use only use platformclock - it still feels the smoothest, just like on my old sys with Gigabyte x48 mobo and yorkfield.

The articale says that preoverclocked (BIOS) or normal clocked systems are not effected.

Only people who use software to adjust their overclock in real time are effected.

Its weird, its not like its a bug in Win8 per say.
