Do you know how this works? It's better to use a low value? Any pro/cons?

    Thanks!

i don't know alot about it but i bought it and it has made my DPC Latency drop quite alot.

What are the best settings to use to drop latency as im clueless with this stuff but reading this thread helped abit, i have all power saving options off in bios and high performance mode on in OS. i have dynamictick ON and HTEP ON in bios but OFF in OS.

    Are these good settings?

    How to use?

I click maximum and close, but if i open again it's no maximum.

I need to keep it open?

Does the free version work or do you have to commit to the $10 software?

Reinstalled windows 7 ultimate 64 and don't have the audio stutters or pops. DPClat shows all green. Latencymon starts out saying its fine then says something is causing issues but I never experience any. Even then no drivers issues like I have with 8 and the high ndis.sys figures in 8. Guess 8 and my desktop aren't friendly with each other..

Not sure if this will help anyone but I found my own personal issue with high DPC and audio pops/stutters in Windows 8. The problem was Malwarebytes Anti-Malware app. I disabled the Malicious Website Blocking feature and wala no more problems!

Thanks for the tip! I can also confirm the issue (high DPC execution time of ndis.sys) with the Malicious Website blocking enabled.

using windows 8 pro x64 for a while..

    HPET ON bios.

    bcdedit /set disabledynamictick yes
    bcdedit /set useplatformclock true

did these.. and latencies are perfect now :) just like in windows 7..

by the way, why are you using malware website blocking ? is it installed in windows 8 by default ? if so, how can I delete it ?
