Ive had Windows 7 beta installed since its release but ive never used it, ive obviosly been on it for like 10 mins or so but never set it up fully. I do intend to over the next couple of weeks and try using it as my Primary OS now what bugs it did have, have been fixed.

Well I guess we have to wait until Windows 7 official release until we can use Punk Buster. Thanks for clearing it up.

I just went back to vista after using 7 for over a month as my primary OS and this makes me hate Vista even more! It feels like a clunky POS compared to 7 if it weren't for the lack of games launching and the crappy standby features I would be right back. I am having such a hard time with new M$ OS's!

I feel you. I went back and forth too. I had to go back to Vista too because of some software not being supported. but as soon as the support was added I went back to se7en. after using w7 for some time, working on vista is plain painful.

This may come as a dumb question, but what happens to the Beta version once the rtc is released? Does it stop working? are you able to upgrade to the rtc without a fresh instal? I have a copy of the beta with a valid key, but don't want to waste my time if it won't work past april.

Oh, and i'm not sure if anyone mentioned this or not, but i tried downloading one of those supposed "leaked" copies of Windows 7 build 7032.... yeah.... fake. was build 7000. at least the build 7022 installer i got a while ago was ACTUALLY the build that it says.

With previous beta's you couldn't upgrade. I mean I guess you can keep your programs folder or something or install over it maybe and get a windows.old folder. But there won't be an upgrade option.

Just noticed that build 7048 X64 is out .
gonna download it and give it a go.

Apparently according to the info-file you can just run setup.exe from within and it'll update to build 7048.

We'll see how it works out !

I would post a link but don't think it's allowed.
However, if you really want it you can PM me and I'll hook you up with the Link.

    UPDATE : http://windows7center.com/windows-7-news/windows-7-build-7048-screenshots/
