i seriously would not attempt it, pretty risky even if someone else successfully has.

just use bios integrated ezflash utility
format usb flash drive to fat32, write BIOS .rom file(s) to it, reboot pc, access bios and use ezflash to select the .rom version you want and flash. very convenient and safer.

I know that is much more secure than Windows but EZ Flash freezes on my PC. In the ASUS forums other persons had that freeze.. i will try again EZ Flash someday, i think. Thanks :D

it seemed it freezed for me too when accessing 8gb usb flash drive(2gb was fine), but after a minute or so it's fine again and file browsing on faslh driver works again
i don't remember now, but may I needed to change drives to make it work too. I mean drives in the ezflash browser, not physical ones

As said above, pretty dangerous... not to mention trying something that important thru a BETA OS is just crazy.....

well W7 being beta is the issue of concern. that app is made with retail windows in mind and hard to say how it will react. it could crash and likely recover ok as they have safety systems in check for that, but ya never know

Yeah and there's even more to come. Looking at SS's of the internal 7024 build, you can see that they put quick launch bar back in. I'm wondering what other changes they'll make.

Either way I don't give a **** what some editor thinks. I ran the OS on my machine and it was a significant upgrade over Vista. The explorer changes along make it worth it. I think it may be the first OS I personally buy.. I got Vista/XP through my school.

Editors trying to run Windows7 on underpowered systems like they did with Windows Vista just so they can talk **** about it? Was an editor that reviewed Vista using a 2.4ghz P4 on 845 chipset with 1gb ram that complained about performance. I'm guessing the article got pulled because I haven't been able to find it to post a link.

As Ive posted so many times, there is always gonna be bitching.... And bitching about the bitching...... Its been the same when every new OS arrives & generally from the same type of plebeians.... It truly sickens me, yet is expected from people who just cant see that there "state of the art" in there minds "over glorified boat anchor" is having issues with new things.

Its time to grow up people... It truly is!!

Your boat anchor may survive the next 2 releases as it is....lol, not sure mine will without a slight upgrade. I'm set for Win7 though.
