    Hi,
I recently upgraded my OS from XP to windows 7 Professional 64bit and my small 80gb hard drive is read fine which the OS is installed on but my larger 500GB (it is found in the BIOS) hard drive isnt (under the "computer" window) but under the device manager it finds the 500gb drive so it knows my hard drive is there but it wont read it? and there are drivers on it when I click properties and drivers it had drivers and displays all the info about it but for some reason it wont show up in computer? any suggestions?

    Thanks alot,

Control panel > administrative tools > computer management

open up the disk management menu and assign a driver letter to the 500GB drive.

    Alternative route,

click start > right click computer, select manage > disk management
