Tbh, I'm kind of surprised that Microsoft is having all those problems. They should have expected what was bound to happen today. At least they said that they are working on providing a better infrastructure now. Better late than never, I guess.

OK, but what should I look for, I mean, is there going to a popup or something? And I have been checking those pages, except for the drive home (1:00 PST-1:30 PST) , since around 12:25 PST, but nothing has changed.

 

Hey Cyber, to get the key from the two pages, what do they require to register? I am already downloading a 64-bit version of the beta provided in this thread...(page 4). Is this a good thing to do? I was wondering if I can just get the key and use this already downloaded ISO to install, or is it better to download the one that will be available with the key? thanks dude :nerd:

After you chose your version and language, you were forwarded to a second page where you had to login with your hotmail/Windows Live ID and after that page came another one, where you had to fill out a profile, etc. pp.

I knew, I should have taken screenshots, but since it's not working right now anyway I guess it doesn't matter anymore anyhow.

My guess is that they'll change/update that web site as soon as they configured everything and set up the additional servers to handle the "totally unexpected" load...

p.s.: They asked you about your first and last name, country, email address, etc., vvv123. Also, sure, download the iso already and then you just have to get the key whenever they get their act together. LOL

Edit: Yup it's gone now. Wow i can't believe how much they must be getting hammered, for them to go up in flames like that. I think MS has made a big mistake letting everyone just have at it. At least they should have made MS connect testers get in and let the old Vista beta testers just use their old keys or something. Oh well if you need to extend the grace period do the rearm until you get a key.

 

I did. I logged on. After I logged in it gave me a "Sign Out" at the same spot.
Maybe I don't have the credentials?
I'm patient. I just wait and keep checking till they get their backbone up.

I was going to test the 64bit version... having trouble getting it all day... meh
