nope and the "The Windows Blog" RSS feed should get a name change to "The Windows BOG" as it returns "Internet Explorer was unable to update this feed and will try again later." so often.

    lmao

i would never spend much money based soley on what a few people say. since there may be only 1 more release before official, i consider it enough base to go ahead and use it for a few days and see what its worth to me personally.

but if i install W7 beta and end up doing all the exact same things i do with Vista, with nothing more than the few % speed improvements then i might as well go out and buy me a new can opener that opens cans 10% faster too...lol

however while reading the features alone doenst wow me in the least, it may wow me when i use them, hence why i'm gonna try it sometime and see. if not no biggie i guess. all i do is read/game and burn some music now n then

Well like I said, you should forget Vista even existed. I understand what you mean though. You're gonna want it anyways for DX11. You are a gamer right?

Windows 7 is going to be the biggest hit ever for Microsoft. Their servers are totally pooped. :D

dx11 games might be a ways off, but with right game and if dx11 vs dx10 is wow, then sure, its likely worth the money to me.

but for now, seeing stuff like this isnt helping my enthusiasm

OK so apparently there are two versions of the beta, a CHK release and a FRE release. CHK release is loaded to the top with debug settings in the background. FRE still has debugging going on but much less then the CHK release. The one available on torrent sites (X64) is definitely the FRE release. But I'm not sure about the X86 versions. Either way I guess when these things hit RTM they'll be even faster as debugging tools like Preftrack will all be removed/disabled.

Just found some links in another forum :

    32 Bits
    http://wb.dlservice.microsoft.com/d...00_client_en-us_Ultimate-GB1CULFRE_EN_DVD.iso

    64 Bits
    http://wb.dlservice.microsoft.com/d...0_client_en-us_Ultimate-GB1CULXFRE_EN_DVD.ISO

And a copy/paste of the instructions posted there :p

    1) Open the link with Internet Explorer
    2) You'll be at the download page
    3) Download/Install the ActiveX control Microsoft asks you too (this is just a download manager)
    4) Quickly save the iso when you're able too (or else the page will auto refresh and then you'll have some blank thing it'll want to save having you to refresh to get the iso to re-appear
    5) You'll now see your iso be downloading in the DL Manager
    6) Close IE (since it'll keep trying to download some blank file)

It's slow (~300kb/s) , but at least is working :)

Downloading the ISO isn't the problem - it's been around for almost a week now. It's getting the key that's an issue.
