Tbh this is the worst MS product Ive ever used. Absolutely horrendous especially on tablets.

PS: You can go way longer than 10 days if you make an image backup.

Can confirm that I see similar behaviour on my system! It seems to be a bug, as my OSD shows the "usual" clocks at idle. I'm talking range of 2.8-3.0 GHz per core.

Well, with tech media telling people not to "upgrade" to Win11....and "enthusiasts" telling people not to "upgrade" to Win11.....and even people actually working in the industry telling people not to "upgrade" to Win11..... It's having a hard time finding people willing to use it. I've even talked to people I work with that refuse to use it because of what they've read on tech websites.

Now there's reports of NVMe drive performance loss with Win11....

He's actually correct. There is an issue with CPU frequency. Just because it's not affecting you, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It's like the earlier performance losses. There were a lot of us that were unaffected....doesn't mean the problem didn't/doesn't exist.

I'm having the same issue he is, for the most part. Mine will downclock, occassionally. It mostly sits around 4ghz though, even at idle. I've actually verified it with Ryzen Master, CPU-Z and HWMonitor. My 3600 will drop to its idle clocks for a few seconds every few minutes, then right back to 4ghz.

Im still waiting for 100% Ryzen / nvme fixes and an option to make taskbar with small icons (like we can on w10).

Windows wants me to "upgrade".... Are taskbar items still limited to grouped icons only? I need ungrouped items with labels... Literally the one thing that's stopping me moving to Win11

No. Is the answer to your question. The taskbar functionality is very limited at the moment.

Ugh, why are M$ being so stubborn about this? The 10k+ ticket in the feedback hub still hasn't had an official response either

It's a design choice Microsoft took. Comparable to how IOS looks and feels. The taskbar overflow apps that have been deleted still show up. So there is a lot more work needed to be done with it.

It doesn't make sense though, for ease of access and productivity, it's a regression...

Does anyone else get video slowdown/lag when moving the mouse over the video while playing a video in non fullscreen mode?

Rarely use W11, but every month or so I check to see if updates addressed some of the annoyances with it. When I hover the cursor over the sound icon in the tray, the mouse wheel is supposed to control the volume, but it doesnt. I have to click on the icon to get into the mixer and adjust the volume from there. Updates were supposed to have addressed this, but still doesnt work.

Anyway, back to 10 and will check again in another month to see if fixed. Unless anyone knows of a workaround to this.

For anyone annoyed with the volume control, found an alternative which works well. Allows you to click anywhere on taskbar and use mouse wheel to control volume.
