yes it did work before UPDATE: So after figgle around it seems that the build itself did not break the game as I manage to make it work again. but for me the build corrupt VC++ Redistributions that need to be repair + did sfc /scannow and it find some corrupted files and fix.
Does anyone else have problems installing the new DEV build? Announcing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 23506 I write the ISO (the ready one from MS) to a USB flash drive with Rufus just as I do it always but I can't boot from the flash drive. At the same time, I succeeded to install it in Virtual Machine (VMWare). I can boot from the ISO normally and install it on a VM. I tried to upgrade an old already installed build to the new one (via Windows Update). Everything is normal until the first restart. Then I can't boot from the SSD the same way as from the USB flash drive. I think they have changed something in the boot loader and it doesn't work anymore on my system (Aorus Master X570, 5900X). In VM the OS doesn't have access to my real hardware, so it works. But with the real installation, something blocks the booting. I have enabled secure boot, fTPM, etc. No problems with all previous builds (25905.1000, 23493.1000, 22631.2048). I tried to disable all SATA ports, to leave just the NVMe but no difference. I tried to use the previous build ISO with a replaced install.wim from the new one (to boot from USB and start the installation), But after copying the files during installation, after the first reboot, I can't boot again. When I try to boot from the USB driver I get this error: If I burn the ISO on an old DVD-RW, then I can boot from it but I see the Windows blue logo instead of my Gigabyte logo (of the mainboard). As I mentioned I have secure boot active in bios and on the other Windows I have installed (22631.2048). After installing the files from DVD-RW, after the first reboot, I can't boot anymore from the installed drive.
The problem is solved! I had to "Reset To Setup Mode". Till now I never had to do that with previous builds. Just sometimes "Restore Factory Keys" when the secure boot is not active (but now it was active).
