Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22579 https://blogs.windows.com/windows-i...ncing-windows-11-insider-preview-build-22579/
22H2 is finally available to Beta Channel and this means soon it will be finalize for Final user. Soon we will have Windows 11 version 2. But keep in mind, this update is same as Dev Channel and Microsoft did nothing change of it, you will get Watermark in your desktop after you update to this latest 22581.1 build. For watermark issue, can simply removed using Universal Watermark Removal Tools. What is change? Everything from Dev Channel now is available for Beta Channel. This include main changes of following Create folder in Start More apps or more suggestion at Start Folder Preview Right click Recycle Bin came with Windows 11 look Volume slider is in horizontal design Acrylic Effects Menu bar for classic apps More Windows 11 design
As of this post they have updated Build 22581.1 to not include the Dev watermark. Whatever they have done to the system tray is beyond me, why did they take away the ability to freely move and drag apps around in it? I hope that is a bug and not new "feature" to make things more frustrating. "Windows Next" should be called "Windows Broken" with how locked down things are becoming.
Sadly no, the system tray thing isn't a bug. Its intended. All the changes from the horrid spacing to the inability to drag them freely is getting, pun intended, dragged on Feedback Hub right now. Its a result of "optimizations" for freaking tablets. They need to just have dedicated tablet modes for these things and leave the desktop experience alone.
The cumulative update still have watermark for Beta Channel user and they is no change log as the link provide is broken 404. The drag and drop function is taken out and not a bugs, many complains and now they put back half functions of drag and drop.
They is no horrid spacing issue if you are using PC. The spacing in taskbar still same as before. Also it can be disable.
Not the other person, but there is 100% a complete rehall of the tray icons on the taskbar. From the way they auto-organise and locked, to the way they are spaced. I actually like the new spacing a lot, they aren't all cramped next to each other, but I dislike the locked auto-arrangement to latest used and I can no longer arrange them the way I want.
It is same as 1st release of Windows 11, not because they added in the Tablet optimization. I am very fined and like the Windows 11 Taskbar spacing as well.
I have no watermark and I'm in the beta channel on build 22581.100. They must have updated the build since your post.
Has microsoft made any mention as to if they will be putting back the ability to customize the icons in the taskbar like is possible in previous version of Windows?
