Basically whatever games you manage to run at Windows 10 is capable to run at Windows 11. To me Windows 11 is Windows 10 with new clothes and new features. Except Android for Windows is something new but that feature is not going to come yet even on this 5 Oct 2021 final release. This feature is delay to next update.
microsoft cann't legally give users a bypass and not provide updates for it, no matter what their disclaimers say (they aren't legal)
I hope they fix the network bug soon, its pretty annoying. also i find it strange that every install , i need to set my audio devices while gpu settings are just like before. recently installed is also missing from my start menu since last build.
If you check your device manager or event viewer for device migrations, you'll see that the audio devices have been changed and this is the reason for the devices changing between builds. a side effect of using inf files to update hd audio drivers when the kthunk or portcls sys files are updated.
My realtek device indeed has been changed. My Geforce audio though is still the same version. -edit- the realtek is the same as well , i recently uninstalled updated ones, so these were the default installed by windows update.
I actually still use the pretty old realtek r2.82 from gur3d downloads. Still works as it did back on windows 7 Sonic audio is gash
New Microsoft Photos is released for Beta Channel 22000.194. Just checking "Get updates" at Microsoft Store for it.
Try the latest unofficial driver package for your Realtek chip, you can find them via a megathread on a competing site. Didn't run into the issues you're describing, probably since I always been on newer drivers, this even when upgrading from 10 to 11 and all updates afterwards. Currently on Realtek Audio 6.0.9228.1 for Gigabyte, trick is to find the matching version for chip / motherboard or soundcard. Who mentioned Sonic audio? Besides, isn't ASUS the only company who provides that for their chips? Possibility is there to use anything with them drivers, just got a license for Dolby Access which blows every other virtual sound emulation out of the water, at least with the stuff that supports it.
Didn't get it yet, but just got the new KB popping up so maybe after that has been installed. The new photo app looks sleek, hopefully it has the same or more functions.
The update is not at Windows Update. You need to check update at Microsoft Store. Open Microsoft Store Click Library Click Get updates Normally those apps available at Microsoft Store will not appear in Windows Update.
I know, still had to get todays KB from Windows Update before it showed up in the store. Got it updated around 5-10 minutes after the new patch was applied. Beta now, but was on dev too. The only driver Windows Update did mess with for me since W11 went Insider was the Nvidia driver, it didn't touch the rest.
Oh that is weird indeed then. I got this (problem) since the prior build. Doesnt matter though, since i plan to reinstall windows 11 once it is released, especially since the network in explorer is pretty messed up.
Just got a webcam with Windows Hello Face support and installed/enabled the feature on W11, works pretty well. App is located under optional features, should be there by default though.
