Yup, the power plan is wrong. :)

Always keeping my hard/software up to date (unless there are valid bugs reported) and even made sure as much as possible got their W11 drivers and .inf files.
So BIOS, Chipset, GPU and a few other devices are fine, driver differences between 10 and 11 aren't that big either.
Tried to delete and restore the plan from W11 image too, same deal, it's borked.

Might need to fix it myself with QuickCPU, since it might take ages before MS does so.

Update to then have windows 10 with strange patches or even go back to the old operating system ;- Sorry but it's not very consistent ...

As usual New OS Build was release for both
    • Beta Channel - 22000.184
    • Dev Channel - 22454.1000
Dev Channel finally fixed one important bugs for me - Right Click for Single Click is fully functional now, no longer appear immediate missing issue.

I can get over the UI changes, but I'm curious how Defener's real-time scanning option is going to be handled. Currently, it's on by-default, and automatically re-enables itself later if you turn it off. That's completely unacceptable in my case (I use Windows for speed, and that feature slows down I/O notably even on an NVMe SSD).

I need to be able to disable that sanely without having to delete or rename files and break sfc or some other nonsense, or W11 needs to have some actually appealing reason to "upgrade" to it; so far there's nothing.

Have you tried disabling it with Defender Control v1.7 ? it should permanently disable it, unless 11 is different in this regard compared to 10.

I haven't tried Defender Control, but I'm concerned it does something invasive to disable Defender.

On W10, Defender is completely gone and out of the way permanently with the registry entry DisableAntiSpyware=1

it does not do anything invasive, it's safe to use.

On my crappy laptop it has Home 10 so I couldn't turn off Windows Defender properly until discovering Defender Control.

How does it disable Defender then? The website for it doesn't describe what all it's actually doing, and it oddly claims that the real-time scanning option in W10 is temporary (I've used W10 since launch and once you turn real-time scanning off, it stays off; never saw it turn back on).

The last comments on that page also indicates it doesn't actually work on W11:

I'm actually not sure, I just remember being absolutely frustrated at it continuously re-enabling itself after every manual method I knew stopped working following one of the updates that changed defenders behavior for Home version of 10, then discovered that program and since then it's stayed disabled and everything has been fine since.

Damn, well that sucks.. I won't be using 11 unless Defender can be disabled.

Once it goes rtm I'll probably install it just to test how to kill it to be honest.

Is the Beta Channel version's DPC latency still atrrocious?

On build 22000.184 now, didn't run into the power plan issue so far, will see if it keeps that way.

    EDIT:
Played a game for an hour, watched a few YouTube videos, computer was idle some minutes and the issue is back. *sigh
Starts to be a really annoying issue.

Disable Windows Defender ; Start go to run type gpedit.msc , open Windows Components and search for Windows Defender Antivirus now look for the item that most interests you and tick
