I don't think a member of a RAID pair looks unallocated when broken, uninitialized would be more likely.

Overall Windows 11 runs very well. Faster than the chunky 10 version by miles.

Performance vice in games, there is like 1% difference in some cases. I went from 290fps in tombraider to 300fps in Windows 11. This is with stripped win 10 vs new install of win 11.
Overall it looks like Win 11 is a bit faster, but not much.
If it's miles ahead for you, then you have some heavy bloated windows 10, with all kinds of background programs. Userfailure?

Not liking to see L3 cache performance issues with W11 under AIDA64 which are not present in W10, so I hope it will get fixed soon or later.
Thankfully it does not seems to impact anything else.

With an AMD laptop it runs much quicker. I don't have anything other than Steam installed, so no it's not user error.

Games don't seem any better, perhaps a little. But there isn't any official drivers yet. Normal Windows use feel more responsive when opening apps or general stuff like that.

apparently atleast one user has uninstalled cumulatives and reinstalled them to restore FFXIV performance.

I found out that my computer with Gigabyte GA-Z87X-OC motherboard and Intel I5-4670 CPU isn't compatible with Windows 11. I'm an old man and I don't have the money for a new computer. Any suggestions?

Don't worry. You should be able to install Windows 11, but only as a fresh install from usb, not upgrading from Win10.

BUT older machines will be treated as "unsupported" and will not have access to Windows Update.

Pressing the start button and searching for something leaves you with no way of going back to the app list without closing and reopening?

I had perf. issue with FFXIV under W11 actually, but got it fixed. I didn't find the way to reproduce lost performance after that.

Has anyone compared L3 cache performance on any W11 builds? There's a discussion about it over on My Digital Life Forums, but basically it seems like L3 cache performance is terrible on certain CPUs (Ryzen?). And interestingly enough, this only seems to be a problem on bare-metal (some reports claim that performance is fine when W11 is ran on the same problematic CPUs as a guest OS instead). I have a 2700X and 22000.160 had bad L3 cache performance on bare-metal.

Outside of that, I'm waiting on Oculus Link to get fixed (discussion) before considering switching to W11. VR is the only reason I have a Windows install nowadays :p
