It's time for one more Microsoft Windows 10 'thing'. A few days ago a Windows 10 update KB4520062 patch was released, Microsoft began advising businesses and organizations on Thursday, Oct 17, no... Windows 10 Update KB4520062 Could Break Defender ATP, Microsoft Warns
Lates issue I had with Microsoft and WIN10 was two days ago when my work laptop stopped recognizing VMware 12 as a trusted program, updated it to VMware 15 and now my old B960 CPU is not recognized as it does not have virtualization....
Another windows update failure - why did they made so difficult to disable windows update like in the old days if things like this happens...why???
I don't know why they refuse to return to modular and optional updates in spite of all the broken updates. The previous model worked for over 20 years and the new one has been screw-up after screw-up.
i want the ability to not install or pause certain updates (like the KB4515384 fiasco) till there's word its fixed. instead of having to pause all
Microsoft simply got tired of the majority of Windows users neglecting the updates and then being blamed for all Windows OSes being parts of botnets I also want Windows 10 updates to work like back in Win7 and earlier, but I can see why Microsoft chose to change it You also have the case of Microsoft wanting the latest DX12 features supported on all Windows 10 PCs. They don't want to have a repeat of how it was for Vista and Win7, where Microsoft released a DX11 platform update for Vista to further drive DX11 adoption, but Vista users kept acting like a clog by not updating.
Microsoft Windows team is beyond salvation. But hey, in the end this team has the task of will introducing the "broken WaaS " model. Windows 10 will be forever remembered as the "broken"model. In almost every aspect regarding an operating system. Is Linux better. Depending of your needs, you can ALWAYS choose.
Oh dear...MS doing more alpha testing on the public, because 'they can'. Unfortunately, and I can't see that changing anytime soon. Another down side to a monopoly.
Yes...here we go again! A few days ago I decided to "un-pause" updates on my Windows 10 computer, and 2 updates were promptly offered. Of those 2, only one would install. KB4517389 would not install, I even went to Microsoft's download catalogue website and tried to manually install it, but no, it still refused to install. In my opinion, Windows 10 updates are definitely poorly engineered and coded!
You have to see the good point: This update doesn't make Windows Defender think that Windows OS is a virus and remove it... You are alway so negative... XD (it might be a joke sponsorised by the Linux community... )
