@ Valerys hmm depend version that you have installed mine is 16.0.8625.2139 but in general you are correct
There is no such "installer" for office 2016/365, but only a click-to-run.. And find a way to not install Office updates, at least security update, is really a dumb thing to do.
Of course there is, just clicked Modify in the Apps & Features section to take this screen. I have the disc version, I know there's also a click-to-run version but I believe it's fine if you get an ISO and use your key.
OK Valerys hmm myself don't use some ISO for applications I believe that is more easy right click on 7Z and after install normally via Setup.exe so I avoid use make dvd but NO in MSO because it is CTR
Is there any way to prevent Windows update from downloading 1709 but still deliver other updates? My internet is too slow to download it all in one go until I get faster NBN (Australia) next year and I'm happy to stick with 1703 for now. I've tried the metered connection trick but it doesn't work.
Office 2016 distributions have the click-to-run installer like Office365, which does not allow the selection of the component to install. I didn't know Microsoft still distribute the old office installer with O2016, where did you get that version?
I got mine through volume licensing, the ISO you're looking for should be named SW_DVD5_Office_2016_64Bit_English_MLF_X20-42479 (Standard Ed., 64-bit).
There should be a setting in Group Policy to defer 1709 for 365 days. Not behind PC at the moment so can't check the actual setting, but it should be under Admin Templates --> Windows Update, then something about Feature Updates.
Disable App Autolaunch in Windows 10 https://winaero.com/blog/disable-apps-autolaunch-windows-10/ Open Registry Editor. Go to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\UserARSO\SID. Replace the SID portion with your actual SID value, e.g. S-1-5-21-1009994778-2815073881-3359792039-1001. On the right, create or modify a new 32-bit DWORD value OptOut and set it to 1. Restart Windows 10. To save your time, the author has created an automated script. @ Extraordinary yep very good contribution thanks for share and also to Teacher Sergei that is the dude
^ I went to that registry path and found that SIDs for both local accounts are there with OptOut values set to "1".
Hmm, I read that article and checked my reg path and I don't have " UserARSO" key, my path ends at winlogon I have local install, not MS account log in (no password). Maybe you got it enabled cause of this you ran few days ago? PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> Get-MMAgent ApplicationPreLaunch : False
Thanks to Extra! If you want to be a "GOD" mode Right click on the desk top make a new folder then re-name it this>GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} I didn't read all 15 pages so If I doubled someone elses post, point n laugh AH HA!
I doubt it because ApplicationPreLaunch has no connection with logon in any official papers. It can be tested (later).
Your right, I found it, if you are running 1709 and set that option in sign in options to off it adds the reg key. Tested in 1709 VM. That's only if you already set it, as if on 1709 you don't have to mess with reg as the option is there already, as mentioned in beginning of article.
Hi today I discover some big "things" to remove inside of Windows OS (in case 2016 LTSC) when I open task scheduller in one fresh install I have 85+ tasks and now only 44 so after make job with ISO I remove a lot of unnecessary applications, services, and all related for Wi-Fi and your brothers then I reach my ISO with 3GB and also in services.msc I disabled a lot of useless "things" and severals changes in Registry I decided restart system to see if my OS works as normal...but for my big surprise all works fine no issues same after use sfc/scannow or Dism Commands to see some corruption really is not very easy change severals operations in same time but works fine I'm very happy to repeat this actions with new Build 1803 then only waiting to put my hands on it
