off Anyway , please report me back if you got warning point if you reply to Ali-k post. Thx. off
did you check things ?
Mine says 23GB
That number seams to be fine. I think , he ran that without admin. That's why he can choose 200mb to be deleted.
Something weirder happened, a folder Windows.old appeared and in it there were
default programs/and the whole windows, weights around 20g's but it wont delete, says
i've no rights to delete it and when i try to give myself the rights it won't let me.
You need to use disk cleanup > system file cleanup
Should I upgrade from win7 now or wait until this new update settles down? this weekend maybe?
Entirely your choice, ISOs are freely available and have fast download speeds if WU is slow
If you got the bug, go for it
<3333333 worked flawlessly!!
Well, 3 different way to do it. First the good old Disk Cleanup as administrator. Remember, you have to run it as admin, so right click etc. Second CCleaner https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner then un tick all the other options except windows old folder. Run analyze and run . Last one, "registry trick". Open cmd as administrator and type: RD /S /Q %SystemDrive%\windows.old . Remember, you have to use it as administrator, simply run cmd won't work just as in the very first option.
Feel free to use all methods with cautions !
My mother is most pleased with the update.
your used to no vasiline from ms I think we all are, thats sucks.
I put this pos over my bigger pos w8 I might get used to it ,you know all the stuff that don't want to work for whatever reason just a whole lot of fun.
It may help him: https://support.office.com/en-us/ar...indows-7-907ce545-6ae8-459b-8d9d-de6764a635d6
LoL I love the idea that Apple have a unified OS! One that can't run most desktop stuff ,and one that can run loads of non desktop stuff.
TBF we all heard this back when 7 dared to intrude on XP, if you want to run modern hardware, or games, you'll be on 10 within a year. Or wait for Steam OS which is clearly, very clearly, not going to replace Windows 10.
To be honest...This is me^...I loved XP and now I love 7...Got to learn 10 now though...I hope it is easy (never had 8)
OK, I am happy to confirm that most of issues with old games are now fixed (at least all the issues I encountered...).
It is the same as Win 7. Only few minor changes. I am sure you can use to it in no time. If you still having trouble , try to install some of the startup program that makes it classic style. I also used it with 8 and 8.1 but with win 10 never.
This update solved my gtx 760 clocks always stuck at max performance even in idle mode.
It's not really a matter of expenses when it comes to providing Cortana in other langues, it's the tons of machine learning it needs before it's not absolute garbage in any given language. Half the reason M$ record everything said or typed into Cortana is machine learning.
As for Win 10 in general, aside from the auto updates that I can't do anything about, and the fact that it's one big fat piece of spyware, I have no issues with it. I skipped Win 8 on my main PC because I couldn't stand it. Win 10 is basically what 8 should have been, minus the spying they do for the NSA and other companies they sell our info to.
Agreed about the Spyware factor.
I used that program on the front page, "Anti" something. Using that and other tweaks my Win 10 is the same as other versions as far as telemetry is involved (From what we know so far).
