Maybe this was MS intention on Windows S launch but...: Microsoft ditches Windows 10 S operating system months after launch
^^ try read post #16 so who have a reason or is better read this old article will the Pentagon want to switch to the "new" Windows 10 S ?
google -> activate Office 2016 without an account Just read the chaos in the threads that pop up. What I am talking about it buying a boxed product, installing it, putting in the key and your done. That no longer exists. If you have a bunch of PCs to set up from scratch and they all need office it is a major PITA.
Woa sorry guys didn't mean to cause such a stiring but just saying it's a program the world is convinced it needs office it's 'the' go to office app other options are available but less known about as for forcing the new office to run on Windows 10 only, what's so special about 10 in an office environment compared to say Windows 7, surely 7 could run it as well as 10?
I've never used it but my kid needed it for some school work and really didn't fancy the askin price just for a few projects see was 6 at the time and found it almost the same as office
Makes sense really given the lifecycle that Windows 7 and 8.X are currently in. Office 2013/2016 are still viable options for those stuck on those OS's for now. I bet someone still wants to run Office XP on Windows 10.
More and more gouvernement use LibreOffice or OpenOffice for their administration and OpenDocument is now the standard all around the world... Then M$ Office is less used. You will be surprised of what you can do with those free/shareware suite as i was few year ago.
haha still about W10 S look here for me is the end of world http://www.zdnet.com/article/microsoft-is-about-to-kill-off-its-weirdest-windows-10-experiment/
Not surprised that this is the case considering Windows 7 is nearing it's end of life as far as extended life goes (Less than 2 years left) and Windows 8's low Market Share it is pointless to support that and just this year Windows 8 entered it's extended life cycle.
