Alright, I found the error. Actually, it's a miracle that the other GPU is still ok.

The service store who built and mounted my water cooling loop made a mistake with the coolers. :bang: They used thermal pads instead of thermal paste on the RAM parts...the manual which I got my hands on clearly says not to use thermal pads for them.

I can't believe it, and I thought I went to professionals. It is my first water cooling loop and I wanted to make sure the right parts are used and it's properly mounted.

Maybe the thermal pads on the memory lifted up the gpu cooling area that it lost cooling power??? Correct me if I am wrong here.

No thermal pads for memory on a waterblock? Is this the first? Never heard this before, normally I see people use thermal pads or some kind of thermal tape for memory and vrm along with the waterblock.

Nice card you have there my friend, Wish I had 3 of those bad boys.

I am really looking into the 980ti, but for me to satisfy myself, at least 8gb vram, :).

Yes the pads must've lifted it too much. Those coolers are built with super exact measurements for the parts. This product needs thermal paste for RAM and GPU

The Titan X indeed is quite an impressive card and it was fantastic to have actually two of them in the system. I'm playing a lot in 4K. However they are very expensive and now I can only hope the manufacturer shows some goodwill or otherwise I'm f.....

I would press more on the people that you paid to do the blocks since they didn't follow the instructions and killed your card. Had you done them yourself you'd have seen that no thermal pads were to be used and done so correctly. Get back to that store and get them to replace it with block as you paid for a service that they didn't deliver.

Absolutely and I approached them already. They have to pay if the card will not get replaced by ASUS ..however it may be a long road.
