Improving performance in heavy applications, reducing polls and disabling service will do nothing for gaming unless you got an antique PC.

What they could do is building something like Process Lasso's Gaming Mode into Windows, which does things like disable core parking, disable
power savings, use high resource priority etc. while a game is running.

Gaming mode doesn't do a great deal for you if you already have a decent PC. Core parking is disabled in high performance power mode in Win8+ by default. Really just make sure windows defender isn't on real time scanning and your drives aren't being indexed and you're good to go. (Also a process lasso customer)

I've run into a few bugs with the most recent build of Windows 10. Enough that I've reverted back to 7 until a few more builds have been released.

Elite: Dangerous would crash like clockwork after exactly 15 minutes of playtime. It would also crash if you run it and clicked Save & Exit. Temps were fine for both CPU and GPU.

    Godus would randomly crash.

Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium was no longer recognized by Creative's control panel or Console Launcher. This despite the card's drivers were loaded and it otherwise worked normally. The previous build didn't have this bug.

Print Spooler didn't work. At all.

After a few days of running it, drive access became constant.

I like 10 a lot, but I'm hoping it gets a lot more work before they think about a final release.

It won't come until at least mid-April. Probably later, like in June.

Rumor has it RTM is due in June and public release in August when school starts. Notebooks released by then will have W10 for sure.
