Updated yesterday to 20h2 (19042.610). Control panel still working (from desktop shortcut), so thats cool. For some reason notepad wasnt working. Uninstalled it from apps/features and reinstalled now fine. So far looking good.

well I got the CU I still have issue with my gamepad keeping my monitor from going to sleep so long as it connected to usb. so if this issue with 20h2 it not fixed, had no such issue with 1909 build. Changed my Nvidia drivers from 456.71 to 457.30 and no dice there either

I also clean up let disk cleanup clean up window.old install a those esent error are still there even with new CU

Not happening with out clean install and me find a 1909 install to begin with. at this point if have to clean install it will be of 20h2 at some point i gona have no choice but to get off 1909 when the discontine it and force you on newer build, might as well get it over with.

They esent warning and the gamepad refusing to let my pc monitor go to sleep arnt enough to make me go back to 1909, I should really test my F710 to see if show same issue of not let monitor go to sleep

...... and the reason why did not bother to try my F710 till now was cause the endless issue with drivers never wanting to install for them and which technical the "360 controller for windows" same driver current gamepad uses..

well I just updated my dad surface from 1909 to 20h2 and the gamepad will not let the surface turn of the display at the set time when connected, It did turn off at the set time in 1909 which it was on just an hour ago when it is connected, I wonder what really changed.

Wonder if led light that can be cycled threw 8 color and off have anything to do with it

it seems unique to your controller though, i don't experience it on a pair of F710's.

I have 3 F710 and none of them will install on 20h2 so i cant even test them not that I would ever use them the contently disconnects and lag was why i stop using them.

Either way Nothing on my controller changed, what changed was windows and does on all PC running 20h2 no issue on 1909

they have some pretty horrible range, and are susceptible to 2.4Ghz interference, but they definitely work on 20h1 and 20h2

Sometimes in X mode one of them will need the dongle yanked and plugged back in, in D mode you need the gaming software 5.10

I re read this cause first time I tried this it didnt work I noticed I missing the changes to the "osvc: 01 90" changes IT actual made it pick up and install drivers correctly. I have no idea how this guy fiqure this all out though, I wonder if this also fixes the issue where I upon boot you had random chance of the drivers not work being "installed" Gona test if that remains or issue or if driver magicly not being install issue is resolved, might as well test if disconnects and lag... when not even 2 feet from recevier are fixed, I doubt it though.

Now the trigger buttons being way to tense is issue for me and fact left analog stick with in weeks of get all 3 replacements all started squeaking when moving them up and down and release them which ridiculously loud, I took the thing apart countless time to fix it and it ONLY does that squeaking on the left stick IF the stick cap is on and I test that with whole pad disassembled and just the board with caps off no squeak with cap on it squeaks. I have no clue how losen the tense on the triggers

All 3 of defective crap F710 contolers properly let monitor go to sleep though, which dont help me as i refuse to use f710 cause it disconnect and lag issue at 2 feet forget it at the 10 feet i normal use it out

It had no such issue with 1909, Any it use 360 contoler for windows. and pick them up automaticly everytime it connected, unlike F710 where drivers still go missing upon reboots, I reboot my pc after getting F710 to work just to see driver were missing after the reboot

Maybe I will try Xbox one controller drivers to see if that changes anything

Wow, so that was the problem that wouldn’t put my screen at rest. I thought for so long it was a long standing issue with either Windows, Nvidia drivers or monitor firmware/bad cable.

I only have a DS4 controller connected sometimes and indeed when it is plugged in the monitor won’t sleep anymore, dunno about Bluetooth, although Bluetooth will go in rest mode automatically.

I know steam has an issue with Dinput and RAW HID controller translation or drivers such as XBCD, where the monitor power management is disabled,

Ok I dont know why but Original Drivers I used in 1909 where 3/18/2019 but I there not signed for and I just pull the files from my old install, and they didnt fix the issue and 12/6/2019 drivers had same issue

And seeing I never seen the below drivers I never tried them, but I just saw them and installed them and rebooted and now the monitor goes to sleep correctly so i guess people having issue like that try older driver
