Any perfomance improvements or something? Im still on 1607 because of the annoying standby memory bug.

No difference in performance with 1803. I think that 1709 was the last Win10 version which resulted in some minor performance gains for me.

So in theory should be a little better than 1607?

Probably, yeah. But it really depends on your system and how you set it up wrt Spectre/Meltdown patches especially.

Find an app and clean stand by memory, Jesus Christ, you people are overreacting to this bug, really. I am an Insider with latest 1809 and is far better than october's public for plebs, I can't even imagine your old 1607, everything is smooth. Go for it.

standby memory behaves under 1809 and 1803-320 the same as 7 did where remap latency is concerned.

not really, for some 1809 was already pushed through public channels.

I already upgraded, it seems very good so far without standby memory tweak. I have only one problem, Windows Defender didnt get deactivated permanently like in previous windows versions by gpedit or regedit. Any suggestions?

It's probably worth to mention that the update was pulled by Microsoft, but that didn't stop me from going full 1809 and suffer the consequences.

ive been running 1809 for like a week now
theres been some problems having to deal with all these unnecessary services etc
besides that once i have "tweaked" it enough, it seems to work just as good or perhaps even better than earlier builds
as i understand all the relevant fixes carry over between builds and updates so havent had any major problems or anything during gaming
the infamous stutter post 1703+ doesnt seem to affect me either perhaps because of the nvme drive or because of something i did that worked

As is tradition, it was pushed, withdrawn and probably pushed yet again (with a CU to fix the most problematic upgrade issues) while the "official" status was increasingly more cloudy (I hear the Server variants had even more of a "paper launch"). But most "plebs" are probably still on 1803. However, you are right: Fast ring Insiders were transitioned to >17763 (18xxx).

Are there any performance tests that compare 1803 and 1809? Assuming both are either Spectre/Meltdown patched or unpatched in same way?
