On my second PC, I've installed a GF 2MX 64MB. Windows 98 automaticly detects this card as a standard PCI graphics adapter, though it's a AGP card. When I try to install NVidia's latest detonater, Windows sais it needs to be resarted. While booting the PC resets, and I can only run windows in safe mode. If I delete the card in the control panel, it works again, but then windows 98 auto-reinstalls the card, and the same problem occurs. The PC is running a Celeron 300, on a Abit BX6. What can I do?
Install your motherboard's drivers. (Go to Guru3D download section, the to motherboards and click on the link for your motherboard's chipset maker, i.e. Intel,Via....)
You Tried Going Into The BIOS And Switching The Primary Graphics Adapter From PCI To AGP? If The Option Is Available.
No option like that I really can't figure out why it doesn't work, I've done the chipset upgrade and stuff, IRQ is assigned, everything should work just fine
