I am a bit confused that my Netgear D6300 modem is not listed under network devices, nor in device manager, while this was fine in Win7. However, this modem is working fine.

What do I miss to make the modem "visible" to the network (device)?

    TIA

Got your network set to "Private" and discoverable ?

You won't see an Ethernet/WiFi device in device manager though unless it's connected via USB also somehow

Yes, network discovery is On but Ethernet connected devices(adsl modem) not showing up under Network sounds real strange - worked nicely in Win7!

If you're looking in device manager, they won't show up....
