Hi everyone... I'm trying to get my PDA to sync over the internet, and in order to do that, I need to install Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. And as far as I can tell, Microsoft Exchange Server will only install in a Windows Server environment, such as Windows Server 2003...

Luckily I can get all the software for free from my university, but now I'm wondering what my ideal course of action is...

    1. I could install Windows Server 2003 on a VMWare virtual machine (or some other virtual machine software)
    2. I could just use Windows Server 2003 as my main OS

Now I'm guessing that the first option will be pretty crappy in terms of system resources - running two OS's at the same time isn't so great, I guess... so I'd prefer the second option.

But the question is - what disadvantages does Windows Server 2003 have compared to Win XP? What're the main differences?

    64bit
    faster
    more secure
    much more capable...
You could always run XP in a virtual machine. ;)

    So I guess that's a vote for Server 2003?

XP's available in 64-bit too, by the way ;)...

Oh... and does KX Driver run on Server 2003? Because I lost my Audigy install CD... :(
