I upgraded my laptop from Win 10 to 11 Home. I am not sure what happened but now I cant get Steam to install. I followed some websites directions and MS website as well and I still can't get out of S Mode. So farm, Steam has been my only program I can't get to install. This does not work, due to it saying that I cant use S Mode with this version of Windows. On your PC running Windows 10 in S mode, open Settings > Update & Security > Activation. Find the Switch to Windows 10 Home or Switch to Windows 10 Pro section, then select the Go to the Store link. Note: Don't select the link under Upgrade your edition of Windows. That's a different process that will keep you in S mode. On the page that appears in Microsoft Store (Switch out of S mode or a similar page), select the Get button. After you confirm this action, you'll be able to install apps from outside Microsoft Store. I've had Steam on my laptop before and I uninstalled it for whatever reason and now iI can get it to Install after my upgrade. I dont know how or what else to do.
I figured it out, I had to find and enable Windows to allow programs to run. I cant remember where I found it, but it was set to only allow programs from MS Store to install and run. I'm such a n0oB!
