its not multiple choice.
Yeah, i'll decide later when it comes to a GPU.
First thing on the list is to ditch my 7 years old 4770K for a Ryzen 4000 CPU.
I'm waiting for the new msi seahawk or equivalent 3080 with waterblock included I don't fancy having to install a waterblock myself and voiding any warranties, I read that the 3000 FE cards can be difficult to dismantle as well so yeah just sitting on my money right now but can't wait to upgrade this 1070 been too long and games are starting to chug a bit since I moved to a super ultrawide.
The last generation Sea Hawk was a big let-down so I put my hopes on EVGA Hybrid.
For those waiting on rdna2 we have a little more info:
Will buy a whole new pc once the 3090 is up for sale on my go-to online store. ~4500€
quoted prices for 3000 series starting to creep up. overclockers bumping up prices on the GTX3080 range by 30/50 quid, not checked all the different models but I'm sure they were lower yesterday
The Palit OC with the nice backplate was £660, now £720 lol
yeh I noticed overclockers were playing tricks. They had the evga ICX3 listed earlier but that has disappeared and replaced with the horrible evga gaming black for £699
Scan and Overclockers down.
Hopefully i got one before the stock was out. Went from 200+ cards in stock to 0 in 3-4 minutes. I managed to get one in the cart and checked out in 6-10 seconds (express checkout)
I am eagerly waiting for an MSI 3080ti lightning or 3090 lightning. Everything else is paused unless if RDNA2 manages to surprise me.
Norwegian site. Komplett.no
Three of the shops where I checked crashed but the one where I had a gift card was the worst. Had a Trio in my cart, last one but couldn't get the fecking order through due to their overloaded system. Should have bought in the other shops regardless since they worked better. So very very disappointed now, especially since nobody has the slightest idea when the next shipment will arrive and where in the queue I'll be then.
Also might have to buy a temp card the guy I was supposed to sell my 2080Ti to really wants it. Cant game on a GTX 760 for two months.
I'm just hoping for a GTX 1660 Super...if the prices ever come down. 3000, even 2000 are clean out of my price range.
I think the NVidia and NVidia aib's screwed up with this launch
seeing that Amd is putting out their card in about a month
I see a lot of people potentially buying a 6000 series card instead of a 3080
the only reason I don't consider AMD cards... is...
Drivers... Support during the coming years...
and I went all in on this launch too
sold my 2080 too!,so now I'm working off my wife's laptop for the next 2 months at least
I feel like an idiot
Most of the recent NVidia launches are the same. Initial low supply, bots and scalpers buy up all the supply in minutes and try to sell on auctions sites for huge mark-ups. This will go on for for a few months for each version of the card. 2080ti launch was the same. When the card supply finally normalizes and are more available, the bots and scalpers will eventually stop as they will no longer be able to make a profit off all the suckers that fall into their trap. It will probably be two to three months before we can easily get a 3000 series card. As for me, I have a 2080ti that I bought a few months after launch and has served me well. I'll probably get a RTX 3090 when the feeding frenzy is over and I can actually purchase a card.
