I wanted to buy a RTX3070 but I ended up with buying the RTX3080 just for the faster and extra memory on it. I belief they are being stingy on the memory this time but hey for me it's a good upgrade coming from a RTX 2070 that I bought for 625 euro got the RTX3080 for 729 euro so no complaining here :)

To anyone thinking about buying an MSI card, they luckily don't have that ugly "3S1" logo on them :)

After the experience of not being able to even see the cards available 2 weeks in a row, I'll never buy anything from Nvidia again. Instead of making sure the cards got into the hands of real gamers, they put no protections in place against bots and now everyone has to wait. Seriously, screw Nvidia, i'll never buy anything from them again.

You'll be giving up PC gaming should AMD have similar issues.
    Wise up.

If you had any intention of buying one, I doubt this enough of a reason to change any ones mind.

after seeing prices of this series and the last I am really reluctant to purchase especially since Canada price of even the 3080 is about 1000 and over

Oh stop being so dramatic :D
Is this your first partaking in a gpu release? It's the third architecture in a row from Nvidia with supply issues at launch. Just kick back and wait.

You should close this poll and re-create it now that reviews are out and we know how they perform (i.e, an informed decision as opposed to the how-we-hope-they-'ll-perform before the embargo lifted).

I guarantee you'll get a quite different result.

I have paid for a 3080. Whether I'll get it before preorders are taken for the 4000 series, I don't know!

So with past GPU releases, how long does it typically take for the supply to catch up to the demand? I'm fine with waiting and I'd be fine with a 2080 Super or the like but given the price of them compared to a 3080 it's financially dumb to buy.

I built my rig out and just kinda bummed I don't have the 3080. It's a nice Ryzen 9 build that's seriously GPU bottlenecked at the moment lol.

Waiting for the 3070 ti/super 16gb as i dont like the power consumption of the 3080, hopefully the 4080 will be more efficient otherwise im stepping down from buying any x80 cards and will look at x70

What a mess we're in now, two weeks ago i had £750 in my pocket excited for the new cards, today i couldn't feel any further away from one. (i'm totally happy with my current)
Props if you managed to grab one of the good ones, honestly after the 3080 release if i had been in market for 3090 i would have used bounce, and thought myself very smart for doing so.
All i want now is Big Navi to swoop in with mass supply and decent price and if it can do all the RT effects in CP2077 they'll make bank.
