I own a fx 8350 and now planning to get gtx 770 and a new mobo but not very expensive and will be gaming only in full HD. Most probably MSI 970A g46 because it drops under my most pushed budget.
Will I need to overclock my processor to play at Full HD with maxed or or high settings?

That board is a piece of shlt. What other options do you have?

You won't need to oc btw, but it would be a shame not to.

The OC isn't needed, but you can induce CPU throttling in less than a minute with Prime95/OCCT and the 970A's power circuitry isn't designed to withstand that stress level, so you will end up with some blown MOSFET after a while. ;)

You need a mobo with better VRM for that FX-8350, at least with 8 phases for the CPU, probably the cheapest would be the GIGABYTE GA-990XA-UD3.

Please no 770. That thing is outdated already.

Please get GTX 970 or wait for 960

970 costs a fair bit more than 770.
