Will not boot with 4 gig 800mhz

    Tried installing 4 sticks of mem with same latency 3 will work but cant get the 4th post error long beeps downloaded updates for vista and mobo still no.
    Played around with different mem voltages still no.
    Any ideas I know lots of people are having the same problem according to other forums
    Heres hoping

    You need to lower all the sticks memory speeds 677MHZ,that should do it.

    ^^^you should be able to.
    try running memtest86 on each stick individually.you may have a bad module or maybe your mb just doesnt like all four dimms populated.you can also try swapping the sticks to dif dimms to see if their is in fact a bad module.

    All the sticks are in good order tried different configs with them so i know they all work.
    As im a bit of a noob to o/cing where it says mem running at 800mhz do i just type in 667 to change it

    That should do it. It's also a more or less known fact that Nvidia chipsets 650/680 series are not really happy with 4GB of RAM on some mothoerboards (this is approved by Nvidia).
    If downclocking does not help try bumping the voltage a bit.

    Make sure the Command Rate is on 2T also.

    ATI 6950 unlock 950/1400
    And manually set your Vdimm to 2.0v-2.1v

    alas it didnt work but thanks will have to wait till asus gets their finger out
