COD1 & UO definitely were the most fun for me... COD4 also a lot of fun...I still play it online now..:biggun:
ok, done! lol. I just never got into the "realistic" war based FPS games, and have always preferred the sci-fi types with imaginative weapons and environments. aka Quake games, Unreal Tournaments etc
The single player is, but that's what makes it fun to play a little bit. Only once on the Single player though, I love the MP in COD. Run and gun, kill, reload, get shot, shoot, etc etc.
thats why I put it in "quotes" lol Many claim the COD's to be "realistic", although more seem to make that claim about the MoH titles.
I'm quite shocked at the poll numbers tbh, this past year or so there's been a massive decrease in the number of players on UO. I believe WoW and MW's kidnapped a lot of it's player base, it's sad to see really as it's a brilliant game. If I ever get as good at real life than I am at UO, I reckon I'll be okay ;D
I voted MW1 as I kinda liked that one, I can't stand MW2 and Black Ops tho, overhyped, I do kinda wanna play BO single player just to see wat the story is like tho
the assault on Stalingrad in the original CoD was still one of the epic moments i remember, everything else...not so memorable...

COD2 or the first MW just because of sniper section was made so damn well. Although, on the 'World at War' the russian sniper section was damn cool also. I actually would say that next COD from COD:MW which actually was even near to be fun was 'Medal of Honor' the new one. Now I don't give a damn on ratings people give it, but it's one damn good game.
When will these guys get it?? CoD + UO was the bomb online! Base assault was the best. I still play it sometimes... I remember I loved UO maps because when you played as a sniper hiding in all the different bombed out buildings it reminded me of Enemy at the Gates. Now CoD is just a small square box map filled with grenades... and sniping is killing people point blank with a rifle.
Hands down... COD2!!! The single player was great fun, and had a nice variety of gameplay but the multiplayer was where it was at. The maps were awesome, the gameplay was incredible and the community really shone through. Custom games, and maps. For me this is still the best COD game ever made. This game gave more more hours of fun than any COD game ever made. After this I would say COD4, only because I heavily got into Clan matches, and of course ProMod
COD1+UO Mainly because you couldnt take 100 bullets in to your chest, go behind a wall, wait 5 secs and get another 100 bullets. COD2 was good too, but not better than COD1, because of the health system. Same for COD4.
I think that cod 4 modern warfare is the best game out but do agree with syranetic that the maps could be bigger and more open!! The first cod games were epic in there time and still are today!! Either way i think modern warfare is better but do find myself being owned alot more than i did on the first cod, although i do remember the first cod games becoming a bit pointless as everyone used rifles and it was like a point blank shoot out that i never won, I had to do a base assult or something like that to get onto the really big maps which was cool!!
