I made a SLIM version to download if you want zero bloat (Free of Crap with no GFE) you can download here if you want.

Wondering if these are better than 399.07... might have to try them out if no one else has done it yet. Anyone tried these coming hot off of 399.07?

What the heck I'll give them a shot in a minute, the 399.07 WHQL is r396_00-312 so these are the same branch but a bit newer.

I installed them just now. 6000% performance increase in all AMD marketed games. :p

Earlier vulkan 398.92? Wasn't so good, normal gf 397.64 is faster and smoother.

Maybe they fixed this again, last great vulkan driver was 397.40.

Are you 100% sure about your claims???
In the site tells that the driver is a "developer beta"!
Btw did you download & install them?

    Yes they are

Speaking of this driver, its ok by multi core games, but by very cpu bound I lost 4 fps on avg by Hitman Absolution, ROTR marginal diff., Batman AK physx 2fps diff., FFXIV blodborn and heavenshard no idff., RE6 2k points, idk whats that in fps diff.. maybe 2-3?

397.64 was faster by all those tests, though.

//Also Spectre patch in general took a small hit by very cpu bound scenarios, 3dmark physics tests mostly. Games not so much maaybe by some 1-2fps.

So a driver is better than another because it provides 2-3 more FPS ? Lmao..Performance is identical..2-3FPS is nothing.

2-3 FPS can be the difference between 57 and solid 60 FPS

Doom @ Vulkan is stuck in main menu and it says loading.. I can't change back to openGL, guess I will have to uninstall and return to my old driver.

I got some pretty bad input lag with these drivers, that was weird. A full mouse swipe normally gives me a 180 rotate in CS, not with these - only a 105 or so. Add that with they keyboard input lag, couldn't do much. Went to the 399.07 and everything is fine now.

Can anyone else confirm this or am I tripping?

How do you retrieve the branch info? I know the API calls to do it but I assume you're using some pre-existing software or perhaps it's in a file somewhere?
