I will buy what's the best bang for buck. ATi HW is tops.
nVidia's pockets are deep and have got better dev relations.

In the end it's personal preference. I love my ATi products.
I've had about 4 nVidia cards and 6 ATi cards.

You forgot a few things. With AMD's drivers since... I don't remember, 10.6 or something MLAA has been broken, it only functions in full screen.

That and there is no way to force SSAA+MSAA on an AMD card, nVidia Inspector can do that however. I miss 2x2 SSAA + 8x MSAA, best visual result IMO without using crazy amounts of GPU power. Having PhysX for the lulz doesn't hurt either... that and a lot more programs are using CUDA these days.

Last reports show NVIDIA spending at least 9x what ATi spends on R&D, but that's also because NVIDIA has alot more money.

    Also, when has NVIDIA marketed?

I've never seen a commercial for a NVIDIA graphics card, nor AMD. Most people I talk to, the general public, have no idea there was even a difference.

Are you totally blind to all of ATi's faults?

Christ, you could call me a NVIDIA fanboy, but at least I'll admit to faults with some of their cards, and shaky driver support as well.

NVIDIA is in a ton of markets, constantly advancing and introducing new tech. AMD is stagnant. Working on old tech.

Not sure if my vote counts because i'm on single GPU...

But im pretty happy with my card, i didnt expirence any trouble in any game yet, or im not sure they are GPU related ( BF3.exe stoped working ).

If HD7xxxx perform well im not going to wait for nvidia solution.

Yeah, and those millions are finally paid off to an architecture departure from VLIW to SIMD-based...just like how Nvidia had done for several years.
Millions on R&D...to disable CFX on games.
Millions on R&D...to BSOD most users with HDMI/DP monitors with a WHQL driver.
Millions on R&D...guess that's why AMD had to chop off some of their workers.

And to anyone who always say "You can say [vendor] sucks, but look at [other vendor]'s forum, it's also littered with complaints!".
Here's a hint, smart alec...almost everyone who posted on said threads is likely to report a problem, not words of praise, hence why you'll always find them being filled mostly by bug reports & complaints.

NT/WT was removed starting with the HD6 series. The only CFAA mode available to the HD6 series is Edge-Detect.

As long as you're not counting cover samples, 16xAA requires 2 GPUs. This fact holds true with both AMD as well as Nvidia.

the nvidia forum here had much less complaints against the company itself. Most issues there are just user error. On here we have legit complaints and are talking of moving away from amd. Its a big huge difference, and theres a reason serious gamers always end up back with nvidia.

99.9% of errors on a PC is between the user and the keyboard, but instead you go "Oh, Nvidia is just user error, AMD is just BAD and sucks and you can't fix it" is what you said in bullcrap laymen terms

Can we PLEASE stop with this baseless bashing? PLEASE? Its stuff like this that is sugar coated troll posts. I've owned 5 Nvidia cards and 4 AMD cards, of between them all I had two problems with each.

And you act like Nvidia has no problems, when I just look over at the forums and there is TONS of people having issues with games and drivers, hell their -OWN PATCH NOTES- tell about stuff that's broken, so what you are going to say that in the patch notes the stuff that's broke is just "User Error" or non-properly functioning drivers?

As for "Millions on R&D...guess that's why AMD had to chop off some of their workers." they chopped off only useless people to the company for the most part, but they made some bad choices and let go of some key figures they shouldn't have, but that's not to say Nvidia is the brightest bulb of the lot either, we forgetting Bumpgate scandal already?

it doesn't matters what company card you have all of them have driver problems,
and will have with every new release, this how software business develops very very slow!!!
i stick with the cheaper 6950 - unlocked 6970 instead of expensive 5Fps better nvidia!!!

    That explains it.

I really dont like thoes other modes so i personally wont miss them, but as someone said MLAA needs some additions so that users cant tweak the amount that is applied.
