Just bought a new Coolermaster Hyper TX3.
Which way round should I attach the fan to the heatsink? The little rubber pads attached to th fan indicate that I should attach it so the airflow blows on to the heatsink.
Oh and whats the best way to clean the old gunk off my cpu before starting?
    Thanks.

    Please close my
Blowing on/through the heatsink, out of the rear fan if you have one! :)
I normally use a very wet sponge to get the gunk off! :) But it's probably dangerous so just use a small piece of cloth.

Dude, usually they write it in the instruction manual for the cooler lol.

There was only a few lines of text and a couple of tiny diagrams in the instructions...

Well then, I guess the manufacturer fails at creating instruction manuals.

sometime common sense may fail because the manufacturer may lack them lol. Happened to me before.

with any air cooler, you get amazing cooling if your ambient temperature in the room is 65F or lower.. even water cooling isn't all that great unless your ambient room temp is 65F or lower.. I know.. I have both..
