WHich Video Card to get?

    Hello which should I get? NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT or ATI Radeon 9600 XT? I need info quick. Thanks.

    6600gt, its better than the 9800 pro, so its going to be better than a 9600xt

    6600gt. It kicks the 9600xt's ass.

    yeh would agree with everyone else the 6600 is just really a 6800 with slowers clocks and a little less pipes.

    You might want to uprade the rest of you computer if you get the 6600GT. If you dont plan to, save some money, and get the 9600 XT.

    yea, it was decent back in 2001, but once 2003 rolled in i was having trouble running everything

    The 6600gt core has nothing to do with the 6800 core. They are completely different. The 6600gt's are actually clocked much higher than any other nvidia card out there. It loses to the big boys because of the lack of pipes.

    Not only because of the lacking Pipes but more because the 6600 GT only features a 128-Bit Memory Interface, thats why they have to clock them higher.

    I agree with Kon$olE if u plan to upgrade ur whole system sooner or later, then better get the 6600GT.
