The fact is that I only upgraded the memory from 32 to 96 for the sole purpose of installing win2k.
How hot is hot (ie when the fan activates itself?)
Hi, i've had a look for hard drives on the internet, and basically they are selling drives that are a gigabyte larger that mine for something like $120 , (is this the type of price i am looking at?)

This message was edited by yoko on 17 Jul 2001 03:54 PM

Well, what are you planning on running/keeping on that machine. That is a useable amount, as long as you don't need much storage. And you can go ahead and run Win2k and see what you think. It will run on your specs (like I said, I've installed it on worse); it just won't be any speed demon. I say give it a shot. If it's too slow, then upgrade it.

I really don't use it that much. Basically, Visual Basic, Office, WEB Browsing. That type of thing.
Just another question: When i Upgrade it will ask me if i want to keep my present infomation (something like that,) if i say no, what happens?

The fact that i haven't got any disks (driver disks) for it, will that matter?

Thanks again.

If you say no, it will allow you to do a clean install (highly recommended!!). You shouldn't need driver disks for most things, it should detect most if not everything. I would boot from CD, and just do a clean install.
