    hi,
    i just bought a fx5200 128mb to upgrade from my gf3 vio 64mb. i was thinking that the fx5200 was faster but wasnt shure.

    fx is faster most definitely.

    First is your GeForce3 is a TI(titanium) edition? If it is then FX5200 is faster on DX9 games for a simple reason, that GeForce3 TI is not dx9 compatible. But for older games, i think GeForce3 TI might beat FX5200.

    But if it is a regular GeForce3 then for all the reason FX5200 is much faster.
