You know why they tell you to get a 6600gt? BECAUSE THEY ARE RIGHT, I had a 6200 for a long time, and the are terrible, (I could barely play halo). Spend the extra money, Its worth it.

Yep, sorry to say. But the 6200 is an aweful card for today games ;) Just like your 5200, it was a mistake.. It's a VERY low end card ;)

But to answer your question, the first one :)

Im pretty sure I asked you guys which is better out of those 2 cards. Im 100% aware that the 6600GT and the 7600gs are better than the 6200. I just want your input on the 2 cards I linked you to. Thanks to vinnie and copey for the input.

the thing is the 6200 is probably worse than your 5200 becuase your 5200 is a 5500, ur 5200 has 128 bit memory bus verse the ****ty 64 bit memory bus on the 6200

have u overclocked?? If not do so

i havnt used or seen these card in action soo, im just stating theretical number, if anyone thinks otherwise tell me

First of all, the 6200s GPU is WAY more powerful than that of the 5200. My 5200 has 64 bit memory aswell so.

You are VERY WRONG ! a 6200 is WEAKER than a 5200 ULTRA (not 64 bit maybe) but 6200 have 64 bit mem too ! a lot of them ...

I have an old 5600XT that outperform a 6200 with some OC ...

6200 are the lazy cards out there ...

a decent 5950 or 5900 that can be bought at a nice price will smoke the 6200 no problems at all ...

This discusion about 5200 and 6200 were a lot of them google for it !!! and you will se some 5200 better than 6200 so ....

You might want to LIE to yourself but don't post here about a 6200 being a lot better than 5200 because you are terribly wrong ...

Ive searched threads and googled and everywhere they say the 6200>5200. Isnt the 5200 known for having one of the weakest cores?....

Yes, cause I really lie to myself about Video Cards. What are you trying to prove?

    http://www.ultimatehardware.net/204.htm

And thats a 6200 TC... Seriously saying a 5200>6200 is pretty retarded. No offense.

man if your 5200 ultra has 64 bit memory it aint no ultra, thats wy the 5200 ultra is called ultra, becuase it comes with 128 bit bus, if you bus is 64 bit , then yes , the 6200 would be better

You have no idea how MUCH more worth it it is to dish out 50 more bucks and spend 100 on a 6600GT instead of 50 on an outdated card. Unless you are young and have no job, then I'd understand. But IMO, the lowest I'd use from the 6 series is a 6600GT.

This is why I really hate posting on here, people dont answer the question. I CANT buy anything above 6200 cause its too expensive for my liking. ALL I NEED is for you to tell me which one is better, the first link or the second. And the reason why I say its Ultra is because I did a softmod using Rivatuner 15.5. Back on to topic plz.

Heres an idea; dont buy either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Worthless upgrade, seeing as you would prolly be seeing the same performance, but throwing 50 bux down the drain. Save up for a different card. If you think your so smart, y did u even bother postin this? I cant stand stupid people telling others who know better than them there wrong, when in fact just the opposite is true.

The people here are only trying to help you with the topic at hand. I dont think you realize that your basically throwing away 50 bucks buying that video card. A better idea is to take that 50 bucks and go out to eat with it or something, cause thats how little of an upgrade you will see from buying it... I dont see why saving a tiny bit more $ is such a problem, when it can mean the difference between fluid gameplay and slide show gameplay ( or maybe the 6200 can have fluid gameplay at 640x480 or something like that ). As everyone already said, if you dont want to take people's advice, get a 6200 WITHOUT turbo cache, as it is some of the worst things ever devised.
