I am currently looking at buying a new graphics card. I have been looking at BFG. The 7800gtx or the 7900gt. Any suggestions on which card to get or if i should get an xfx instead. I am looking at spending around 250 to 380. Thanks for you suggestions!

7900GT is better than 7800GTX, and cheaper.

I think BFG is a good company but usually very expensive... and XFX is also a very good brand and cheaper.

What are your system specs? Thats the most important thing to consider when shopping for a new graphics card.
And welcome to the forum :)

Hmm if your price range is between 250 and 380, you might as well go for the x1900xt its the best choice for that price range.

I agree completely. EVGA has by far the best customer service out there.

Avoid 7900 series they're buggy. Ok, nowhere near all of them and if u get a good one than you'll like it more than 7800gtx. But I wouldn't risk it. Too many people are still having issues.

I'd still pick ATI x1800xt 512 over a 7900gt/7800gtx. I went from 7900gt to x1800xt 512 and it is a better card. Ok, it's a bit noisier, but only when playing games and then u have your speakers up anyway so no biggie.

It would give u better IQ (and don't start flaming me for saying that, if u can't see it don't even reply), loads better AF (8xAF on ATI looks better than 16xAF on nVidia in most cases), better performance (even OpenGL is very improved with recent drivers) and more memory (future proof).

All that for about the same price!!!

    Specs!

    I have an AMD 3500+
1gb of ram (probably getting 2 gb corsair)
2x120gb hdd... Thats probably all you wanted to know.

I have been looking at these cards:
    BFG:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814143036
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814143048
    XFX:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150139

And one more thing! What exactly does VIVO do? Is it worth it?

By the way thanks for all the welcomes! On other sites usually not to many people respond with an answer regarding my question.

My advice would be to use your 380.00 to get a 7600 GT, upgrade your ram to 2 gigs, and get a new power supply. (I'm assuming since you didnt list your psu that you are still using a stock 300w supply) So you'll probably need to replace it with a good 400w or better psu.

With your current set up and processor, I think that would be the best upgrades to make. :)

I got a 480 antec psu. The stock on my case was 450 but i allready had a 480 antec and it has better specs than the stock psu. And for the 2gigs of ram, i will probably get them besides my graphics card so im not going to include them in the 380$.

Ditto here as well, from Mr. & Mrs. Cool.

EVGA's service and support is a level above the rest. I'll be buying my 2nd 79gt from EVGA shortly.

    ggz......
