I am looking at getting a new gaming laptop soon. I want a good gpu in it so I won't have to worry about upgrading it for awhile. I am waiting for the new arrivals to come in on Tigerdirect, I am also using their 36 month financing they have available, which is nice. So any of these look good? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4959621&sku=M452-156400 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4959772&CatId=4935 Any of those look good? I don't want to spend a lot more then $2,000.00, really that's my max a little over 2 grand.
Lol look at the state of both those you've linked Chunky horrible ugly chassis. If it was me I'd wait for Haswell and the next crop of VGA's to come out. The cooling solution in these current gen gaming laptops is ridiculous.

Listen I don't wanna see other sites to buy from gotta be Tigerdirect because of financing. But anyway so the MSI GT70 series is good huh. Which one of these should I go for? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4959772&CatId=4935 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4959770&CatId=4935 I mean is the 680m one worth the extra like 300$ right now, you're getting liek a 15-20% fps increase huh? Well idk if necessary right now. I will be playing most games on High not ultra really. If Ultra works flawlessly I would but not mandatory.
The difference might be bigger if hard pressed - in 3DMark 11 it's about 50% but in gaming mostly 20 - 30%.
Honestly I'd prefer something from Asus, with a more attractive and solid case design last time i inspected them. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4978456&CatId=4935
Anyone who spends $2000 on a gaming laptop and chooses the 670M is crazy. The 7970M is easily the best price / performance chip on the market right now. The 680M is barely any quicker and almost twice the price.
Drivers are fine, crossfire being the exception. If you have big bucks then 680m sli is pretty incredible for a laptop. Saying that though the next gen ati mobile cards will be out fairly soon with nvidia releasing theirs once the 7 series desktop cards are out.
Drivers are fine? You must have a rather lucky laptop. About 6 months of no real support or updates from release, having to manually set games and applications, new drivers results in blue screens, driver options are limited, no custom resolutions
Though You wanted to get laptop from only tigerdirect but i don't agree with you cause there is more online store probably they provide you better laptop than tigerdirect. Have a look at this http://www.computervalley.ca/g75vx-...i7-3630qm-12g-ddr3-750gb-win8-8cell-black-rtl gaming laptop i think you would like this.
