I have a Geforce 2 GTS graphics card and i have the 71.89 driver for it, but when i try to play half life 2, i get an error message that says that my drivers are outdated, and when i play the game some of the polygons blink, disapear, stretch, and just act weird. Which driver should i download to remedy this situation? i'll appreciate any help very much!

    Hmm....

Your video card is tooooo old...

You should not use any release 75 driver on it

    I recommend you 67.66 or 66.93

I dont think that card even meets the minimum requirements for HL2. You need at least a 64mb card, and i recall the GTS being 32mb.

77.72 is the right driver for everyone with old cards trying to play new games! My performance in Half Life 2 sky rocket with 'em. Don't bother with 8x.xx

Hmm, I didn't use the 77.72 driver because Battlefield 1942 played a lot slower on my card, but I'll try them to see what Half-Life 2 performance is like. :)

Heh, it probably means your card is out of date. You should really get a new card if you want to play newer games!

If you don't want to get a new card, I wouldn't dismiss the 30 series detonator drivers. The newest drivers are created mainly for FXs and newer.

Im almost certain that when I had my GF2mx the detonator 12.41 was the killer driver of the moment... That was a good old driver, I do remember that. good luck Kimosabe ;)

Ok, i'll try out the drivers and see how it works.
also, i have the half-life 2 collector's edition, and the game has been scaled down to work with craphics cards that run at least direct x7, and i works even on Direct x6 on my freinds computer and it plays fine!

I have the same vga card and the same problem with 67.03 or 71.89 drivers.
But 43.45 works fine with gf2 gts
