I use Win 7 Ultimate and Home Premiun, I would like to change my 'ico' .
I got some nice more appealing 'ico' but I can't find where these tiny things are located on the dirctory.
Soi far I can change then using 'customize this folder' and changing one ico for another, but only the ones there! ( %SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll)
    BTW where is that? " %SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll "
Can I do change the 'ico' defaults for another one of my choice, example one I made in same format: ico
    Thanks

%SystemRoot% is a Windows environment variable that links to your "Windows" folder on your Win7 installation partition. So regardless of the letter that you assign as your Windows partition, %SystemRoot% will always find your "Windows" folder.

I'm assuming you want to modify a program icon (since folder icons can be changed by a desktop.ini auto-generated file or through the GUI). If that's the case, use Resource Hacker or a similar software to open up the executable and play around with resource replacement.
