Finally they uploaded a new build. It has Windows Driver Store Version 31.0.24031.5001 and date 17 April. I don't expect that 24.4.1 will be from the new 24.10.xxx branch, so this one is a good candidate.

It's still not uploaded completely (on the debug server) so I still can't check the version of the modules.

Just the atidemgy.dll file has a new version 4.5.8838.27070->4.5.8873.5283. The OpenGL module is the same version but the number of the month is changed 24.03.231107_282afec->24.04.231107_282afec.

The rest of the files are the same versions. Of course, it doesn't mean that some files are not with different content. UMD DX12 module for example, has been modified. It's possible that it contains new game optimisations and fixes.

Here is the zip with all available DLLs if someone wants to experiment: AMD-0000003756(23.40.31.05).7z

It's definitely just Sand Land game-ready support—such a disappointment. We probably won't see an official release of 24.10 until the announcement of the 8000 series at the earliest.

    • If not stable , bad comments
    • If AMD take time to next branch and ensure stability , bad comments
24.10 will be ready when ready :)

BTW, this will be probably out during Q2 2024, last year 23.10 branch merge with public 23.7.1.

Unfortunately yes! This 24.4.1 is exactly the same build that I was afraid it will be - the build 23.40.31.05 (31.0.24031.5001) from my previous post. So it seems 24.4.1 is going to be just another "little increased number" driver. It's obvious that AMD are not ready with a real meaningful driver update.

The red software team was so busy to rework the web interface for the driver download. The result when we try to download PRO driver:

They list it 3 times (the same 24.Q1 driver). :D

I bet the web interface was redesigned by a bored intern in their free time. LOL.

I wonder if you can still search games in knowledge base to find past issues.

So after a few weeks of testing and downloading ever driver, Pro Edition 23.Q3 is the best one i found for my Radeon Pro VII. Video/Image quality for movies is great, no crashes, Xemu and PS3 emulator using OpenGL runs amazing, no slowdown, game performance is fine in games, everything working perfectly fine.
On another note, 23.7.1 is suppose to be similar to 23.Q3 but i was getting weird slowdown in games and crashing, so when i went to uninstall it, it messed up my entire computer haha, had to do a fresh install early today. Stay away from 23.7.1. Recommend 23q.3 pro edition driver :) if you're using my card anyway. If you're using a Vega 56/64 i recommend May 2022 driver.

Can the driver 23.Q3 also runs well in GoW 3 with the Xenia emulator 3 without crashing ?

IDK, don't have Xenia or GOW3 install atm. Had to do a fresh install, but i will check it out later and get back to you. I had some pretty good Xenia builds, I was using 5 different ones for different games, trying to get them back in the next few hours.

You have issues with Xenia? is it a amd problem, because i just seen some videos where the game is running pretty good using Nvidia cards.

Yeah I tried a dozen versions of Xenia and all AMD drivers since 2023 and it still crashes with GoW3 at the intro cinematic.
Haven't tried any PRO drivers though but I don't think it should matter.

Yup, tried it, crashes with multiple different Xenia versions and builds. If i set it to Vulkan, it doesn't crash, but looks awful. Guess its a AMD issue.

After testing all types of custom builds, amd just doesn't work with GOW3. And the only builds i found that didn't crash are 2019 builds, but i get massive stuttering, pausing, so i gave up.

After many 23.40.28 builds (31.0.24028.3 from 13 March), today we have another new build 23.40.28.01 with version 31.0.24028.1001 from 22 April.
I think it won't be used for 24.4.1 (23.40.31.05) but for some PRO or iCafe driver most likely (they usually use little older builds than the official Adrenalin).

Can we have Anti-Lag + now?
AMD: Better, we are adding new HYPR-RX profiles for games that you've never heard of.

Yes, 24.5.1 is going to be 23.40.33.01. The Windows driver version is 31.0.24033.1003. All module versions are the same versions as 24.4.1 (as file version info). But there are changes in UMD modules, OpenGL, Vulkan, AMF (it's still 1.4.33.0), amdn1b64.dll and amdsasrv64.dll.

I'm still confused about the way AMD marks changes. For example UMD DX12 module which is amdxc64.dll has the same file version 8.18.10.0486 just like 24.4.1 driver. But the file content (the code) is different. Obviously the file has some new game (and app) optimisations but it still has 8.18.10.0486 version. I wonder if this version is the version of some API for example. AMD changes this versions very rarely. The UWP driver from 24.10.xxx branch has 8.18.10.0489 for this module.

The AMD's signature is from May 9th. So it's not compiled on 14th. ;)

If someone can't wait and wants to try some of the modules, here is the zip with the available files: AMD-0000003910.7z
