I mean, this is not rocket science... it won't come 2017 anymore, and probably 2nd or 3rd quater of 2018.
It's basically the same EVERY generation, expect any launches towards May or more likely, June.

Heise.de reports NVIDIA's next-gen GPU architecture is called Ampere and it will be unveiled during GTC 2018. NVIDIA's GPU Technology Conference is not an event that GeForce graphics cards get unveiled at, so it would be a strange move - but remember, this is just a rumor.

We could see NVIDIA use its Volta GPU architecture for the datacenter/AI/cloud computing markets while the new Ampere GPU architecture will succeed Pascal on the consumer GeForce side of things. But a GTC 2018 unveiling? I don't think so. I think we'll see NVIDIA host another Editor's Day in March-May, leading into Computex in June with its next-gen GeForce GTX series, and I can't wait.

My sources have been telling me that the new GPU architecture will be "very different", and a "monster". AMD limped onto the market with Vega, so we can be sure NVIDIA will be amping up the market with their new GPU architecture.

Not their fault your late to the party. But honestly thats how I always felt. I was always a generation behind. When I got my 7950 crossfire the R9 290s were out. When I finally got my R9 290, the new series wasnt out on the high end. And I was able to get a Fury X when they were still fresh on the market.

On a serious note probably mid 2018 going by previous x80Ti->next gen cards. Then we may have low powered cards first followed by the enthusiast cards.
AMD aren't providing any competition so there's no rush from Nvidia.
There's also the scenario playing out of when this bitcoin bubble bursts there will be a tonne of good second hand gaming cards flooding the market.

i really wish we have the same performance jump from 10 to 20 (or 1100 idk) like we had from 900 to 10, it was really neat the jump from 980ti to 1080ti, worth the wait and specially worth the upgrade i really want the same jump from my 1080ti to the 2080ti

Why release new stuff when there is no competition for Nvidia to begin with? Late 2018 maybe if at all.

I have some questions regarding nvidia 1100 series and want to get answers to all my questions here. I think it might be possible that we may see the announcement of NVIDIA’s next line of graphics cards, potentially the GeForce 1100 series that will include GDDR6 RAM, but that seems a little unlikely. But there is still some light peeking through the branches. Who knows, we could be getting the 1170 and 1180 soon.
