We'll probably see a couple of drivers get released this month in anticipation for both Windows 8.1 and Battlefield 4.

There will come a time (quite soon) when all the driver releases will have full Windows 8.1 support. There will most likely be some optimisations, either general or for games (as this is standard anyway!), but considerations for this are Arma III (a PC only combat simulation), Battlefield 4, and the next COD (which apparently they are doing a reasonable job regarding PC graphics with). These three games are very major titles being released on PC in the next couple of months. There will also be support for the next gen AMD cards once they are released.

Pretty standard stuff really, but all good stuff to look forward too.

...you don't "need" a new driver, unless you have a legitimate problem that is only fixable with a new driver.

13.10 BETA is out for anyone interested.

I personally do need new drivers to fix the catastrophic UVD clock bug. I doubt that's going to happen though and this new package doesn't address it either.

Drivers are the same as 13.8 BETA2, but the CCC and that video transcoding tool have been updated.
