Futurama, Family Guy, American Dad, kinda diggin Rules Of Engagement, oh and can't wait for the new series of Red Dwarf.
Only fools and horses, another vote . Never really understand Family Guy and those shows listed here (tho, never heard for the most).
I used to live with a couple of Americans that watched House. They were shocked when they saw Hugh Laurie's earlier rolls in Black Adder, after I managed to convince them it was indeed the same actor! To put all TV shows under one genre is a bit difficult. You have comedy skit shows (in Australia old ones like Fast Forward/Full Frontal/Comedy Inc), you have comedy shows like Blackadder, Mr Bean, Married With Children, IT Crowd, Father Ted, Seinfeld etc (they're not sitcoms, even Married With Children, because the humour is slightly twisted which is good), then you have sitcoms like Friends, etc. A lot of sitcoms are unfortunately missing a 'h' after the s in the worth 'sitcoms', and I notice that sitcoms aren't listed here.
some that may have been missed 'Allo 'Allo! Dad's Army Porridge Open All Hours Rising Damp Last of the Summer Wine Absolutely Fabulous
The Big Bang Theory is absolutely FUNNY and just the CUTEST show ever! I like Scrubs, Two and a Half Men, and Two Broke Girls. Very funny!
Seinfield and ALF. When I came to Canada in 2001 I did not know English. Tried to watch as much TV as possible. So watching those two shows with subtitles helped me a lot.
I don't really go for scripted comedy anymore. Laugh tracks are physically painful to me, if you play one over a glass of water and throw it at me it'll burn my skin. I do like "Who's line is it anyway?" I also still enjoy an occasional Seinfeld rerun.
Actually for me as a new comer to the English speaking country I found it easy to understand and it was pretty funny too. Of course it took me months but I was very proud of myself when I finally started to understand dialogs and jokes.

Loved The IT Crowd. Too bad they killed the show. That 70's Show. and of course FRIENDS back in the days.
Right folk, instead of creating a totally separate thread for this it seems logical to stick it here, hope it doesn't derail it too much and if it is worth of it's own thread then admin it.
