    HI.

I have a MSI CR52-M and my problem is that when i use nero, and burn at speeds superior to 16x, i almost allways get c2 errors, lots...

Using MMore and Verbatin CDR's, i thought it was the burner, but i tryed to burn using another software (NTI CD&DVD MAker) and now i get no C2 errors burning at higher speeds.

But i don't like the user interface...

    What program should i use?

Nero has never given me problems but Alcohol 120% is also pretty good.

U cant make a mutlisession CDRW with alcohol, also u cant create you own data CD's.
Alcohol is used only for CD to CD copying, image creation or image burning. It can also be used in conjuction with a CD protection identifier prog like ClonyXXL.
Clony is used to identify the protection system and then u choose the right copy preset in alcohol's options.
If u want to make data cd's use nero.

    Try Ez cd creator

Also you may want to check your ASPI layer and make sure everything is good there, search google.

Nero is pretty good, as is Alcohol 120%..
But overall Alcohol 120% is better of the two, IMO.

Alcohol is the best but u cant make data cd's so u will always need Nero,Roxio or something else.

As far as i know you dont have to install Adaptec's ASPI layer cause each program uses its own ASPI like NeroASPI.
The only time that i have really needed ASPI layer is when i wanted to use a PS emulator.

    ok thanks.
I realised that nero was giving me many c2 errors at higher speeds because i was burning cd's at Mode2/XA, at mode 1 i can burn at 32x/40x with no C2 errors. At 52x i get allway C2 errors and many times the cd can't be read. I burn many DivX movies at disc at once.

Maybe my MSI CR52-M doesn't like the MMore media...Next 50 cake pack will be a Memorex to test them....
